Zo's Bio...
Meriere Izobo aka Zo, was born in Detroit, Michigan. He now resides in San Diego
where he has been living for eight years. “I never started rapping seriously, until I moved to the West Coast. What
separates me from the average artist is my style, mixing vocals with harmony and rap into one sound." His music is not
100% Midwest or West Coast, it is the evolution of music and he's just getting started. Zo has been a performing artist
for about six years. As a child, he remembers asking his mother to leave the radio on while he slept, which is where Zo’s
love for music began to emerge. From his own words...,"Music not only touches my ears, but my soul as well."
A lot of Zo’s drive to being successful stems from his family and friends indicating to him that he could
not and wouldn’t make it in the music industry. They informed him that the focus should be on real things and he should
not devote 100% of his energy into his music. With this notion in mind... Zobo channeled all this energy, and turned
the negativity into positive energy. Zo managed to accomplish the impossible: a college degree, many venues that he has performed
in San Diego and in Los Angeles. He has also received a VH-1 song of the year for a song entitled, "ETERNAL". "If
things happen for a reason, let the things in your life be the reason you succeed." Zo is also one of the many few
artists to have his music played on the highest rated show in Vh-1 History, “The Flavor of Love 2.” He had two
songs played during the show and is now receiving publishing for “Eternal” and another track he wrote for the
reunion show which was sung by one of the contestants. Zo is now writing two songs for the motion picture titled "PLAYER
SCHOOL" and another film, "Next Day Air", which stars Wood Harris, Mike Epps, and Mos Def...
"Next
Day Air" is currently being filmed in Los Angeles.
“Player School” starts next month.

Personal
quote: "As artists, we influence the hearts and minds of the younger generation, therefore, we are responsible
for them as a whole. As the next generation of MC's, we decided whether to lead or follow in the path of the artist who have
opened the door for us. Always remembering that no matter how much money you make, history will judge you on the people you've
touched and the message that you leave behind."-Zo
